Task 8. Development of management tool for subsurface water resources of the Aral Sea region.
An integrated mathematical tool for the management of subsurface water resources of the Aral Sea region based on historical and real-time data and the numerical models will be built. This mathematical tool will be used to assess and predict the response of the Aral Sea region to changing environmental stress. The quantitative indicators of the subsurface water resources change will be known and will be used to assess the consequences of changing human and natural pressures upon the Aral Sea region.

Expected results: Tool to investigate and predict ecological impacts of different human activities.
