Assists in supporting the United Nations Millennium Development Goals, and in particular UNESCOs Community Learning Centres (CLC), and Asia and Pacific Programme of Education for All (APPEAL),
which is a regional co-operative programme designed to promote literacy.

All human beings, both men and women, are free to develop their personal abilities and make choices without the limitations set by stereotypes, rigid gender roles and prejudices.

UNESCO leads the global Education for All (EFA) movement, aiming to meet the learning needs of all children, youth and adults by 2015.

  • Gender analysis should be built into the needs assessment process to diagnose the differences between women and men regarding their specific activities, conditions, needs, access to and control over resources, and access to development benefits and decision making. Such an analysis is the first step in gender-sensitive planning for promoting gender and education equality.
  • Literacy programme for basic English language learning
  • Identify issues, problems, needs, and solutions in the community concerning environment and health information including sanitation and hygiene control systems. Explore the resources available within and outside the community and government support services available to them.
